Welcome to Amira For Her!
"We center race and gender in our work not to dismiss other races and genders but to welcome, invite and help heal those who, like us, are often dismissed."- Amira Martin, Founder and CEO
Welcome to our practice! Our mission is to significantly contribute to the healing of our community while simultaneously creating a strong collective of Black and Brown healers and aiding in their professional growth and ongoing contribution to the mental health field.
We are a practice of therapists who understand the importance of providing anti-racist, racially affirming psychotherapy to people of color. We started this group practice after seeing the tremendous need within our community for women and girls of color to receive racially affirming psychotherapy. All of our therapists in this division are women of color who are committed to racially affirming psychotherapy. All are welcome to receive our services but our focus is on providing excellent therapy to woman and girls of color. We provide individual, couples and family therapy for children, teens, young adults, adults and seniors. We also provide group therapy.
As solution-focused therapists, our goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. We also offer Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and all of our provider are trained in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
If you're looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation, if you have a child or teen you need help with or you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, we look forward to working with you to achieve your goals!
