In July of 2020, I, Amira Martin, previously known as Amira Crawford, had the honor of being interviewed by Alexandria Johnson with the Amsterdam News. The article, titled "Amira Crawford: A Story of Resilience," detailed my personal journey to becoming a licensed clinical social worker while balancing the responsibilities of being a young parent and dealing with other social and economic issues. Despite the obstacles, I was able to pursue my education and earn my degree in social work from Hunter College, becoming licensed.
